A six-part character-study drama series with each episode centering on a specific character, their perspective and the world around them.

 

Lora is the star of her "show", which is evidently a cruel, farcical rom-com.

 

Dan is obsessed with his ex-girlfriend Lora, and seeks to reunite with her with the aide of his anti-social flat-mate Violet.

 

Violet is secretly in love with her flat-mate Dan, but tries to make him see her as more than a friend: By dating his  best friend Merv, in a bid to provoke jealousy.

 

Comic-book nut Merv can't believe his luck when the object of his affections - Violet - asks him out on a date. This enrages his emotionally stunted, possibly psychotic friend Nigel.

 

Nigel is a frustrated, tortured artist on a desperate mission for recognition (or adulation). Embittered by everyone else's perceived successes, he embarks on a very public blaze of glory.

 

Desperately lonely and considering herself to be unlovable, Karen fears the last remaining pillar in her life - her best friend Lora - is about to tumble, prompting a twisted plot to ensure their friendship will last - to the very end.
