Neil and Jen have their safe lives turned upside down when Neil loses his job, and Jen discovers that she is pregnant.

 

When Jen is offered a top job, Neil becomes a stay-at-home Dad. But their new lives come with a fresh set of challenges:

 

Neil struggles with his new identity; with increasing feelings of insecurity and social ostracism, whilst Jen struggles with being apart from her baby, reflecting her own upbringing with her estranged parents; All of which begins to threaten their relationship.
